1. Product Introduction

image.png

Lanthanum Carbonate is a core light‑rare‑earth carbonate, mostly available as hydrated crystalline form in industrial grade. It appears as white or off‑white odorless powder. It is insoluble in water but dissolves readily in dilute mineral acids with release of carbon dioxide. Upon heating, it loses crystal water gradually and decomposes at high temperature to release CO₂, finally converted into lanthanum oxide.

As an important precursor material for manufacturing lanthanum oxide and various lanthanum salts, it features excellent chemical activity with customizable rare‑earth purity grades. It is widely used in catalytic materials, optical glass, electronic ceramics, sewage treatment, rare‑earth deep‑processing and special reagent raw materials.

3. Product Features

  1. High chemical activity: Rapid reaction with dilute acid, suitable for synthesizing various lanthanum salts and rare‑earth oxides, excellent intermediate raw material for rare‑earth wet processing.

  2. Stable thermal conversion property: Can be stably decomposed to high‑activity lanthanum oxide powder under calcination condition with good batch consistency.

  3. Controllable impurities: Strictly control non‑rare‑earth impurities such as iron, calcium, silicon and heavy metals, matching high‑end scenarios for glass, ceramics and catalysis.

  4. Good storage stability: Stable under sealed and dry environment; slight moisture absorption occurs under long‑term exposure to humid air, moisture‑proof storage is required.

4. Main Application Fields

  • Rare‑earth precursor raw material: Calcined to produce lanthanum oxide, raw material for lanthanum chloride, lanthanum nitrate and other lanthanum compounds, intermediate material for rare‑earth smelting & deep processing.

  • Optical glass industry: Glass additive to improve refractive index and dispersion performance for special optical lens production.

  • Catalytic materials: Additive for petrochemical and tail‑gas treatment catalyst, improving thermal stability and catalytic performance.

  • Electronic ceramics: Ceramic modification additive to optimize sintering property and electrical performance of ceramics.

  • Environmental water treatment: Phosphate adsorbent for phosphorus pollutant removal in water body.

  • Others: Special reagents, scientific research raw materials and other fields.

5. Packaging & Storage

Packaging: 25kg fiber drum, 25‑50kg woven bag, ton bag; small‑size sample packaging available, inner with moisture‑proof plastic bag.

Storage: Keep sealed in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Keep away from moisture, rain and acidic materials.

Transportation: Transport as general chemical, avoid package damage and dampness.
